Musikalische Leitung: Riley Court-Wood

Im Oktober 2024 erhielt Riley den zweiten Preis und den Publikumspreis des Tokyo Conducting Competition, woraufhin er eingeladen wurde, als Gastdirigent des NHK Symphony Orchestra im Juli 2025 zurück zu kehren.
Von 2023 bis 2025 war Riley Leverhulme Conducting Fellow am Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Während dieser Zeit assistierte und dirigierte er das BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra sowie Scottish Opera und Hebrides Ensemble.
Zu seinen bevorstehenden Projekten gehört sein Debüt in 2026 mit dem Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin im Rahmen der Reihe “Rising Stars”.
Nach seinem Violin-Studium an der Guildhall School of Music and Drama arbeitete Riley als freischaffender Geiger in London und machte anschließend seinen Master in Dirigieren am Royal Northern College of Music.
Von 2021 bis 2023 war Riley Resident Conductor des Muscat Royal Philharmonic Orchestra im Oman.
Riley wird von Keynote Artist Management vertreten.

Solistin: Rosie Lavery

Scottish soprano Rosie Lavery graduated from the RCS Alexander Gibson Opera School in 2024, having studied with Wilma MacDougall. In the spring of 2024, Rosie was delighted to be chosen as an Oxford Lieder Young Artist alongside her duo partner Anna Michels. She is also a member of The Bubblyjock Collective, a trio dedicated to performing Scottish classical music. 

Rosie has performed on operatic stages across the UK and is currently preparing for performances of Gluck’s Orfeo e Eurydice, Puccini’s La Bohème and Mozart’s Le Nozze Di Figaro with Scottish Opera. Most recently, she performed the role of Praskowia in a joint Scottish Opera / Opera Holland Park production of Lehar’s “The Merry Widow”. 

During her time at RCS, Rosie won the prestigious Governor’s Recital Prize and was awarded the Florence Veitch Ibler Prize for Oratorio Singing. She is the recipient of the Salomon Seelig Musicians Company Award, Sybil Tutton Opera Award and the Rising Star Award from the John Mathers Trust. Rosie has performed across Europe, including performing in the chorus of Donizetti’s ‘L’elisir d’amore’ in the Palazzo Corsini in Florence, and solo recitals in the Assembleia Legislativa in Madeira and the Royal Tuschinski Theatre and Draiiorgelmuseum in Amsterdam. In Scotland, Rosie has performed recitals in many prestigious venues including the Theatre Royal, Edinburgh Playhouse and Festival Theatre, Caird Hall and the Usher Hall as a 23/24 Emerging Artist. She has also performed with the Dunedin Consort and The Cumnock Tryst and is the Chorus Master for Paisley Opera with productions of Verdi’s Macbeth and Gounod’s Faust in collaboration with Scottish Opera. 

Komponist: Yangkai Lin

Yangkai Lin wurde 2001 in Guangzhou (China) geboren und begann bereits im Alter von 4 Jahren mit dem Klavierspiel sowie mit 8 Jahren mit dem Cello-Unterricht. Mit 16 Jahren komponierte er sein erstes Werk und studiert seit 2019 Komposition bei Prof. Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Rihm und Prof. Markus Hechtle an der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, wo er auch weiterhin Cello-Unterricht bei Bernhard Lörcher erhält. Während seines Studiums hat er weitere Werke mit verschiedenen Besetzungen komponiert und mit Ensembles wie SCHOLA Heidelberg und dem ALEPH Gitarrenquartett zusammengearbeitet.
